Is it that hard to put behind the past?
Is it so hard to forgive someone.
Are some things too much to forgive?
What happened to the all the things that were said and done before a mistake?
The things like, 'i'll be there for you'.
What happened to all the promises that were made,
the words that were said,
the feelings that were felt?
Was it all of just a lie?
What happened to friends till the end of time.
Is forgiving someone that hard to do.
Is it really that hard to do?
You know what, it's a choice.
It can be the easiest thing to do,
or the most hardest thing to do.
In the end, it's up to you.
Whether you choose to forgive or not.
I found it hard to forgive my best friend in the past.
We were so tight, so close.
But somethings hurt too much,
but I forgave.
I couldn't forget the things she did,
the way she made use of me.
But I forgave.
I could've chosen not to, but I did.
So will you?
Sometimes the closest to you may be the hardest ones to forgive.
But are ya'll close enough to forgive.
That's the question.
--------
What hurts the most
What hurts the most
What hurts the most
Was being so close
And not seeing that loving you was what I was trying to do.
